Event Details

In this one day event, we'll explore the gift of spiritual friendship along the path of life. Do you have others you can process with regarding your spiritual journey?  Mindy Caliguire will explore the components of deeper soul-level-friendships that keep us mindful of our spiritual journey in the midst of everyday life.  Come and join as we pursue deeper, spiritual relationships!   Lunch will be provided. If you have any special dietary needs, please email Kevin at kevin@ltinc.org

EVENT SCHEDULE

8:15   Registration Opens

9:00   Session 1: Keynote and Corporate Worship - Mindy Caliguire, speaker

11:00 Breakout Sessions:

  1. Cultivating Spiritual Friendships Beyond Your Peers (Steve Macchia & Kevin Antlitz, Lecture Hall 1): Spiritual friendship doesn’t have to exist exclusively among your generation and intergenerational relationships need not be narrowed down to the confines of a mentor/mentee relationship. There are riches to be found in developing deep relationships across the gap of decades that usually divide us – if we are receptive to God's invitation. When young and old are open to give and receive from one another, the reciprocity of relationship has blessing and value for both.  In this session, we will share our story and explore the obstacles and benefits of cultivating meaningful spiritual friendships beyond our peers.
  2. Spiritual Friendship in the Local Church (John French & Jeremy Stefano, Chapel): We will be discussing the tremendous need for and joy of spiritual friendships within a local church setting. In our time together, we will consider the challenges and fruits relative to such friendships. In this session, two examples of the enriching experience of true, spiritual friendship will be shared and explored.
  3. Nourishing Spiritual Friendship in Marriage (David & Susan Currie, AC254): Conversations between spouses often address the outer things of life--schedules, parenting, jobs, outings--but rarely explore one of the most intimate parts of our relationship--a shared life of the soul. What does such spiritual intimacy look like, and how do we nurture it in the midst of often full households and usually too-full calendars? We'll address these questions, and give participants a chance to reflect on what works for them in the rhythms and dynamics of their own marriages.

At LTi, we seek to increase the "attentiveness quotient" within individuals and teams – helping them to become more aware of God's presence and direction as He forms them more into the likeness of His son Jesus, gives them discernment for the path ahead, and renews their strength as only He can. In all that we offer, our mission is to cultivate vibrant spirituality and attentive discernment in Christian leaders and their teams.
